IN  HIM  ALL  THINGS

For from him, and through him and to him are all things

One of the things I love most about God is his sovereignty. There is nothing more comforting to me than to know that nothing is outside of my wise and good heavenly Father’s control. All things are subject to him—good, bad and otherwise. All things work according to the counsel of his will (Eph. 1:11) What else is there outside of all things? Nothing! Even at times when it is so challenging to believe because it is such a mystery, how comforting to know that my life is not assailed by circumstances and events that are random or meaningless. All things are from him, through him and to him (Rom. 11:36). And as God’s child, all things work together for my good (Rom.8:28).

There is nothing sparse about God. He transcends all boundaries; he is full, comprehensive, generous, and lavish. Check out more ways all things relate to God and those who are in him:
Matthew 19:26
But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Mark 7:37
And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, “He has done all things well. He
even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”

Mark 9:23
And Jesus said to him, “‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.”

John 1:3
All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.

John 3:35
The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand.

John 14:26
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach
you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

Romans 8:28
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:32
He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?

Romans 11:36
For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.

1 Corinthians 3:21
So let no one boast in men. For all things are yours...

1 Corinthians 13:7
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

2 Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all
things
at all times, you may abound in every good work.

Ephesians 1:11
In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the
purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will...

Ephesians 3:9
...and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in
God, who created all things...

Philippians 2:14
Do all things without grumbling or disputing...

Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

Colossians 1:16-17
For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities--all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

Colossians 1:19-20
For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.

Hebrews 3:4
(For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.)

2 Peter 1:3
His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness,
through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence.

Revelation 21:5
And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
